Complete dental ‘makeover’ will take a minimum of two weeks. If dental implants were placed a second trip will be needed.

The Process for Full Mouth Rehabilitation?

Dr. Mora will begin with a comprehensive clinical examination requiring records of your mouth, such as X-rays and photographs, impressions of your upper and lower teeth, models of your teeth that are made from these impressions, and a record of your bite.

Dr. Mora will also determine if he needs to first adjust the relationship of the teeth in your upper and lower jaws. He may also ask the other specialists (periodontist, orthodontist, oral surgeon) for a consultation in order to develop a treatment plan that is best and all-inclusive for you:

Teeth: determine what restorative procedures may be needed including necessary root canal therapy.
Periodontal (Gingival Condition): look for deep pockets (loss of attachment support), excessive or insufficient gum tissue, periodontal disease, and bone deformities, and irregularities.
Temporomandibular joints, jaw muscles, and occlusion: No pain on opening or closing your mouth; harmony in how you chew.
Esthetics: The color, shape, size, and proportion of your teeth, and how they appear in relation to your gums, lips, mouth, side profile and face.

What other Procedures include Full Mouth Restoration?

The following procedures may be necessary, depending on Dr. Mora’s findings:

Prophylactic teeth cleaning and periodontal care; Contouring of the gum tissue to create balance and harmony in your smile.
Surgery: Extractions, bone grafts, crown lengthening; implants to replace missing teeth or support bridges.
Tooth preparation for Crowns, Veneers.
Provisional restorations to protect prepared teeth and evaluate occlusal factors.
Cementation of permanent restorations.
Adjustment period.

Indications for Reconstruction Treatment

Teeth missing as a result of decay or trauma.
Jaw, muscle, and headache pain requiring adjustments to the bite (occlusion), etc.
Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (Dysfunction of the ‘chewing’ muscles and the articulation between the upper and lower jaws)
‘Injured’ and fractured teeth resulting from trauma or accident.
Teeth that have become severely worn due to long-term acid erosion (foods, beverages, acid reflux) or tooth grinding.
Change in an acceptable relationship between the teeth in the lower and upper jaw, requiring an alteration in function.
