Dental Cosmetics offers fläsh light assisted tooth whitening system.
The teeth whitening procedure is one of the most efficient, direct, and fastest methods to lighten the color of your teeth. You are constantly supervised during the entire treatment by Dr. Muñoz who provides care to ensure the success of your goal. The whitening product is applied directly to the teeth and then activated in combination with heat, a special light, and/or a laser to create a very desirable result seen in only a 30- to 60-minute treatment. To achieve more dramatic results, several appointments are recommended.
Patients Teeth Before & After Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening results are not permanent. In fact, the longevity of teeth whitening results all depends on you. If you drink a lot of coffee, tea, red wine -- other staining beverages or foods -- your whitening results may fade in time. However, it's easy to re-whiten. We recommended repeating this treatment once a year depending on the degree of color change and your goals. For each patient, the intensity of whiteness will vary due to the condition of the teeth, nature of the stain, the type of bleaching system used, and duration of the application.
Save from 50% to 70% of the prices charged in the United States or Canada by choosing to have teeth whitening with Dental Cosmetics. In just one hour we will complete your Fläsh Whitening dental procedure.
Appropriateness of tooth whitening treatment with regard to:
Pregnancy: There is not enough data, but healthcare providers recommend that you wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding to have your teeth bleached by the dentist.
Teeth whitening is ideal for patients who have healthy, unrestored teeth (no fillings) and healthy gums who would like a brighter smile. Patients with yellow tooth shades respond best.
Smokers should be aware that their results with teeth whitening will be minimal, unless they refrain from continued smoking, especially during the bleaching process.
Do not expect the change of your existing tooth color to be an intense ‘white’, almost blinding to the eye. That absence of color and high value might not only be impossible to achieve but also may not appear natural or aesthetically pleasing.
Sensitive Teeth and Allergies: people with sensitive teeth and gums, receding gums, and/or defective restorations should consult with Dr. Muñoz prior to using a tooth-whitening system. Anyone allergic to peroxide (the whitening agent) should not use a bleaching product.
Gum Disease, Worn Enamel, Cavities, and Exposed Roots: Individuals with gum disease or teeth with worn enamel are generally discouraged from undergoing a tooth-whitening procedure. Cavities need to be properly filled before the patient receives treatment with any whitening procedure. The whitening solutions penetrate into any existing areas of decay and the internal areas of the tooth, resulting in heightened sensitivity. It is important to be aware that whitening procedures will not work on exposed tooth roots, because roots do not have an enamel layer.
Fillings, Crowns, and other Restorations: Tooth-colored fillings and resin composite materials used in dental restorations (Porcelain Crowns, Porcelain Veneers, Bonding, Bridges) do not whiten. Any whitening procedure should be done prior to the placement of these restorations. In fact, Individuals with these numerous restorations, resulting in uneven whitening, may be more satisfied with the results by considering veneers, or crowns, rather than a tooth whitening system.
