Invisalign aligners have been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontics practices worldwide. More than 3 million cases have been successfully documented by orthodontists. In Costa Rica, there are a limited number of specialists, like Dr. Leon, who are certified to treat patients using Invisalign Orthodontics with Invisalign aligners.
Save from 50% to 70% of the prices charged in the United States or Canada by choosing to have Invisalign aligners with Dental Cosmetics. The dental treatment is normally completed between 1 and 2 years and require regular trips to the orthodontist.
To monitor your progress, you will have occasional checkups with Dra. Leon, every 6 to 8 weeks. For the most effective results, you should wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, throughout your entire treatment. At every stage, you will be able to see how much closer you are to having the smile you have always dreamed of.
The time frame to accomplish the total treatment is approximately 9-15 months. There are 18 to 30 Invisalign aligners used during treatment, although the numbers can vary depending on treatment objectives and the patient.
Approximately every two weeks, you will wear a new set of aligners, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. The Invisalign system uses computerized CAD/CAM stereolithographic technology to predict treatment and fabricate many custom-made aligners from a single impression.
Each aligner is programmed to move a tooth or a small group of teeth 0.25 to 0.33 mm every 14 days.
The aligners are removed during eating, drinking, and oral hygiene. You can eat whatever you want, comfortably. Your mouth will always feel clean and refreshed. You will be able to brush and floss whenever you want.
